Patio & Pergola. Sunday , September 03rd , 2017 - 21:59:47 PM
I think patios are a better choice than decks. Patios last longer, require less maintenance, and allow greater design options than decks. Concrete is the most common material used for patios. Probably because it's relatively inexpensive, and builders use it extensively (because they won't be living in the house themselves).
Patio cushions are another way that you can make a serious statement without breaking the piggy bank. You can think of patio cushions as an extra accessory for you to mix and match and a way to bring the indoor comfort of a La-Z-Boy to an outdoor space.
At that moment I made it my mission to locate the beach umbrella of our dreams, one that could handle the Texas coastline's occasionally hostile tropical winds. Several owners of pulley types finish up leaving the umbrellas open for the duration of the season, due to the fact it requires some muscle to open it, and then a massive, attached pin locks it in spot. I use a lot of sunscreen and when in/on the water I wear a hat and a rash guard which is often a lot more than sufficient...but in the past we have also used a beach umbrella.
